Here’s a step by step guide on how to stake $DVPN on the Sentinel Network

Sentinel DVPN is the native token of the world’s first provably decentralized VPN (Virtual Private Network). Sentinel’s DVPN can be staked by anyone. The core utility of this token is built on its function as governance and staking token, a medium of payment for $DVPN subscriptions as well as other advanced $DVPN services not to mention a work token on the Sentinel ecosystem.

In this article, we show you a step-by-step guide on how you can become part of Sentinel’s governance structure by staking the $DVPN token.

Step 1: Introductory guide

Download the keplr wallet on your desktop and set it up, create/import or account and set up your password.

Step 2: Depositing dVPN tokens

To access your Keplr wallet and deposit tokens, launch the Keplr extension in the top-right corner of your browser window.

By default, the wallet will be set on the Cosmos network

You must switch to the Sentinel network by clicking on the Cosmos icon in the top center to reveal a drop-down menu where you can select Sentinel.

Once you’ve joined the Sentinel network, the top symbol will change from Cosmos to "Sentinel," and you’ll be able to deposit, showing your Sentinel public address key like this.

Simply click on the key phrase to copy the address, and use it as the receiver wallet when sending $DVPN from another wallet or receiving it from a friend.

Step 3: $DVPN staking

It’s time to stake your $DVPN now that it’s loaded into your Keplr wallet. It’s simple: just click the stake button below.

This operation will take you to the Sentinel network’s list of validators.

Then you can look through the validators that are available, checking out their commission rates and reputation. We’ll use Ubik Capital for this presentation.

To delegate, click the button. Remember that after your tokens have been delegated, you must wait 21 days to make them liquid again. If you later change your mind and want to undelegate them, you’ll have to wait another 21 days.

After you’ve entered the amount of $DVPN you wish to stake, click the delegate button, which will open a second pop-up window. You can set up the transaction with higher or lesser gas fees depending on how quickly you want the transaction to go in the second pop-up window.

Step 6: Double-check the transaction

When the transaction is complete, your dashboard will reflect the validator to whom you’ve delegated your $DVPN and the number of tokens you’ve delegated.

It’s now finished. You have successfully staked $DVPN and are now eligible for staking rewards.
